Irina Pushkareva was born in Kurgan, Russia, and was trained in traditional ways of painting and drawing in Arkhangelsk Art Academy in Moscow. Since graduating from Parsons, The New School with BFA in Fine Art in 2018, she has been creating and showing her work in the United States. Pushkareva creates unique highly stylized oil paintings with the moving wave like sections of colors, where she is able to depict the divine connection between everything on this planet and the universe. Her artistic practice can be divided into two parts. In the first part, Pushkareva aims to capture the hypnotizing gaze, beauty, and deep essence of life in every animal she paints. In the second part, Pushkareva explores the spiritual relation between humans and animals. She takes myths and legends of indigenous people as the starting points for her research, for she believes that it was the way our ancestors saved their knowledge for future generations. Pushkareva's paintings and prints were exhibited locally in Miami, and around the United States. In August 2020, Irina's large painting,
Four Corners, will be presented in the Art Market San Francisco by Perseus Gallery.
Currently, Irina Pushkareva lives and works in Miami, Florida.
